Gemini Galaxy takes a prompt and tries to make it feel like a world rather than a single generated image. Nano Banana 2 handles the planet image, Gemini 3 Flash writes the lore, and the interface treats the result like an entry in a planetary databank.
It began as PlanetMaker: a functional blue-and-purple AI demo with rounded controls and little emotional weight. I rebuilt it around the heavier interface language of a world-forging instrument, then tested typography, action states, and material texture until the interaction could carry that fiction.
The decisive constraint was legibility. The Forge Planet action had to feel physical without becoming ornamental, so rejected hover states, a generated metal texture, and a box-model failure all became useful evidence on the way to the shipped button.
One model creates the planet, another builds its geology and history, and the interface presents the result as a world that can be inspected rather than a disposable prompt output.
